Cafe World has never been known for its technical speed. With all of the stoves, dishes, virtual customers, employees, decorations and so on that has to load each time you play the game, it can be a process just to get to the point where you can start cooking. Add to that the slow animations that play when you try to spice a dish, and you have users that become annoyed enough to skip the feature entirely.
Zynga has acknowledged at least the slow spicing issue by reducing the length of the animation that plays each time you spice a dish, allowing you to make your way through a row of dishes at a much faster rate. The process is still the same – you click on your spice rack, choose a spice and then click on a stove to add that spice to the dish currently cooking on it, but the process is noticeably faster.
The same thing goes for when you choose to spice a friend’s dish in their cafe – the animation (that is, the time that shows the spice actually sprinkling onto the dish) has been reduced, thereby reducing the time it takes to make a full run through all of your friends and their stoves.
If you’ve yet to try spicing in the game, perhaps because you’ve yet to complete your Spice Rack, Zynga has also announced that it takes less parts to build the spice rack, so perhaps now really is the time to try and build one after all. Head over to the game’s page to do so.
