If you see your news feed filling with posts related to Zynga Poker from friends that you know don’t regularly play the game, one can make a pretty good assumption that they’re playing the game to get their hands on the newest Mafia Wars / Zynga Poker cross-promotional item.

Towards the middle of last month, Zynga launched a similar promotion in Mafia Wars, requiring users to reach level 6 in Zynga Poker before they could unlock the “Ace in the Sleeve” Mafia Wars item for free.

Now, this second promotion asks users to gain just three levels before they will be given a free “Pocket Rockets,” which comes with some decent stats for a free item: 53 Attack and 23 Defense.

For those who played Zynga Poker long enough previously to unlock the Ace in the Sleeve, this means that you’ll just have to reach level 9 before calling it quits again.
