SEC filings show Zynga recently raised$15.1 million in a third round of funding— to date, the social game developer has received over $54 million of backing for building some of the top titles on Facebook and Myspace.
Zynga has number of social games, such as FarmVille and YoVille, which have seen huge early success in beta. Since its hit game Fishville reappeared on Facebook last week, it has reeled in over 8.3 million new users.
Seems investors must not be too worried about Zynga’s recent ordeal with the Facebook spam department. As long as the company keeps churning out games as addictively viral as FarmVille, I wouldn’t be either.
