Memorial Day may be over, but Zynga is still celebrating the holiday in Mafia Wars by extending the Memorial Day sale on items that took place over the three day weekend.
Says Zynga: “We’re extending our Memorial Day Weekend Event! If you haven’t checked out our deeply discounted items, you have an extra 24 hours to shop and save. You also have extra time to purchase our special charity items, where 50% of the proceeds from the items will be donated to aid families of wounded veterans.”
As a reminder for how this event works (it’s more than just a sale) – in addition to the discounts on other items, there are five new, limited edition Memorial Day items that, when purchased, will trigger the donation of 50% of the proceeds to Fisher House, a non-profit organization that works to help the families of injured soldiers and veterans alike.
Additionally, whether you purchase these Charity items or other discounted items (with the exception of Health Refills and Treasure Chest Keys), once you reach your tenth purchase, you’ll receive an exclusive item, the WWII M4 Sherman tank, which comes with some mighty impressive stats – 80 Attack and 44 Defense.
So what are you waiting for? You only have until later this afternoon before the sale does finally expire – don’t miss your chance on picking up some discounted items in the game!
