Zynga appears poised to enter one of the biggest international markets: China. The social game factory acquired XPD Media, as a plan to penetrate the country.
According the VentureBeat report, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
XPD Media is the developer behind social game Medical Mayhem.
Speaking on the deal for Zynga was vice president of corporate development Robert Goldberg, said that China is at the forefront of virtual goods and the acquisition of XPD will allow Zynga gain some additional expertise.
What this deal will mean for end users is likely to be unclear for some time, but I’m sure the two companies will be exchanging ideas and strategies that will be beneficial to both consumers and the companies.
