Social, Zoo Games

As reported on Games.com, Easter bunnies and eggs of all types have started showing up in all of our favorite Facebook games, including Zoo World.

Similar to the FarmVille Pot of Gold mini-game that ran earlier this month (and the new FarmVille Easter Spring Basket promotion), the goal of Zoo World’s Easter egg game is to collect as many eggs as possible and trade them in for rare gifts.

The eggs can only be sent by friends, so you’ll have to do your due diligence and ask friends to send you some. Just to be polite — it’s a good idea to send a bunch of eggs as well, and it looks like you’ll be able to send certain eggs for a limited amount of time from the Free Gifts area in the game.

Once you gain enough Easter egg baskets (a basket is comprised of one of each of the six eggs shown in the picture below), you will be able to trade them in for the following items starting March 28:

- Mystery Decoration
- Mystery Kiosk (1 basket)
- Easter Tree (5 baskets)
- Ultra-rare Butterfly (15 baskets)
-15 Wildlife points (20 baskets)
- Ultra-Rare Bunny (30 baskets)

Eggs sent from friends (and accepted) will appear in this giant bunny-shaped raft, floating right outside the ticket stand. To keep track of your eggs, click the big white bunny and you see how many of which egg you’ve collected.

Which item do you plan to trade for your baskets of eggs? Let us know in the comments section below!

Hi there and thanks for reading – we're still trying to find all the eggs
and will let you know when we do. In the meantime, check out the RockYou
forum for Zoo World where there is more information about the Easter eggs:

Good luck! Let us know if you find them before we do!

Hi all! The last two eggs are found on your news feed, as items posted by your friends who also play Zoo World. If you look inside the rabbit boat, you'll see that the list of eggs has been updated to include this information, and we've also seen this confirmed on the RockYou forums, here: http://zooforums.rockyou.com/zooworld/topics/eg

An official game spokesperson says that friends should be able to post them “when they open their zoo,” but any details other than that are slim. I myself haven't been able to post any eggs to my feed, and I know I'm not the only one. If you check out all of the posts tagged with eggs (http://zooforums.rockyou.com/zooworld/tags/eggs), there are apparently a LOT of problems with this event. Hopefully, with the beginning of a new work week, they'll be able to sort out some of these issues – until then, keep an eye out on your Facebook news feed (click on the “Facebook” icon in the top left corner of the screen to get there) for those rare two eggs!

I've done some digging and I have good news – the mystery decoration will be available starting tomorrow! The developer has confirmed this on a discussion board on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=162104552…), where someone asked outright when the mystery decoration would be available, and game representatives posted “tomorrow.”

After digging a bit further, I came across more information here: http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=162104552

Apparently, they had planned on releasing the decoration today, but in case there were glitches associated with its release, they wanted to be better staffed to handle it (today being both and weekend, AND a holiday, and all). Here's their quote:

“we were gonna have it out on the 4th, but if there were to be any errors with it, we'd like to be staffed to sort things out. ^_^”

The “feed” refers to the list of news posts that you see each time you log into Facebook. It's where you find your friends' status updates, photos, and more, along with being where all game-related posts show up (other than gift requests). You can get back there by clicking on the “Facebook” icon in the top left corner of the screen.

when do the baskets expire? I mean, when is the last day to trade?

  • http://www.friskymongoose.com/ Kate Hancock

There's conflicting information floating around about the last day to trade
egg baskets. It sounds to me like you'll be able to collect eggs through the
end of this week (Sunday at 11:59pm PDT. However, you'll still be able to
trade eggs in next week (although the bunny boat will have sailed on to a
different location). You can check out the Rock You forums but there doesn't
appear to be a firm answer there either:
    http://zooforums.rockyou.com/zooworld/topics/de
that helps – thanks for reading!
