With so many games being released on the iTunes app store, it’s sometimes hard to keep up with which ones you should or shouldn’t be playing on your iPhone. Thankfully, we have the review round-up to show you the best games available on the app store, complete with summaries and reviews from all around the web.
With a plethora of zombie games available for the iPhone, it seems almost cliche to make a zombie game anymore. However, Zombie Flick looks to switch things up a bit with its new take on the classic zombie movie. Instead of shooting zombies with a complete arsenal of firepower, guns and explosions, you’ll hurl paper balls and whoopee cushions at them.
In their review of the game, Slidetoplay said it “can start to feel like Skee-Ball, with more blood and guts and no prizes” and that “It’s a creative take on an overused genre, so even if you’re getting sick of zombies, it’s worth a quick flick.”
Rating: 3 out of 4.
The shoot-em-up genre has been back for at least a few years now, and Dodonpach Resurrection is no exception with its style and dynamic game mechanics to back it up. In this quirky title, you’ll be able to use touch, tilt or a d-pad to maneuver your ship across the screen in order to dodge the constant barrage of enemy fire.
In their review of the game, AppSpy said Ultrablast is “an epic journey that doesn’t quite pack the same energy as a straight arcade shmup, but remains fun enough to play through to completion” but that it’s definitely worth checking out if you are a fan of the genre.
