iPhone, Mobile

With so many games being released on the iTunes app store, it’s sometimes hard to keep up with which ones you should or shouldn’t be playing on your iPhone. Thankfully, we have the review round-up to show you the best games available on the app store, complete with summaries and reviews from all around the web.

Zombie Escape

Survive and help others survive is the simple concept Zombie Escape is based on. To play, simple draw lines from survivors to the several choppers ready to pick them up and take them away or blast away the zombies using the plentiful weapons scattered all over the ground. Your choice. The ultimate goal is to survive as long as you can spanning the 28 days (movie reference?) the game lasts.

In their review of the game, TheAppEra said they “can’t think of any other game that has as much amount of content and fun packed onto one little game.” Sounds like a rousing recommendation for Zombie Escape if I’ve ever seen one.

Price: 99¢.

Cannon Cadets

Cannon Cadets appears to be one of those titles who just can’t catch a break. Seemingly, it tries to capitalize on the enormous, unbeatable success of Angry Birds and just can’t do it. Just like Angry Birds, the objective is to smash into obstacles and enemies to destroy them and exploit their weaknesses in the process.

According to Slidetoplay, Cannon Cadets could become better in the future, but “at the moment we recommend sticking with Angry Birds, a much more polished game which is constantly being updated with new content.”

Rating: 2 out of 4.

Price: $1.99.
