Every day, TriplePoint client AppGratis hand-picks an app that they think you ought to have. They feel strongly enough about the app to make it free for a day. We download and check out what’s on offer — because it’s free.
The best things in life are free, but you can keep ‘em for the birds and bees. I don’t think our friends at AppGratis would necessarily agree with that sentiment, but they’ve still taken the song to heart, and given us Moni today. This handy app lets you keep track of all your bank accounts, checkbooks, and — if you’re so inclined — the cash in your wallet, all in a sleek, easy interface with a load of helpful features. And, just like the best things in life, it’s temporarily free.
At its most basic, Moni will function like the ledger in your physical checkbook, allowing you to input your various deposits and withdrawals, credits and debits, and keeps a running balance for you. Add in the ability to track transactions in a dozen different currencies, attach multiple accounts and track the total, and pull up a color-coded record of your spending habits, and Moni starts being your personal financial helper. You can even hide all of your data behind a four-digit PIN, just like at the ATM. (We hope you do not use the same PIN as you do at the actual ATM. We also hope you do not say things like “PIN number” and “ATM Machine.”)
Moni can’t do everything, it’s true. But what it don’t get, I can’t use. Go get Moni; that’s what I want.
