Ford SYNC, which is one of the biggest advancements in recent automobile history. Now, Ford appears to be improving on the awesome concepts that they introduced at CES 2010. Already, SYNC supports hands-free calling, turn-by-turn navigation and much more.

Now, the service is now offering app control called “SYNC AppLink”. This function allows you to control certain apps using your voice. The apps must be written specifically for this purpose so only a few will be compatible to start including Pandora, Stitcher and OpenBeak.

Only Android and Blackberry phones will be compatible for now and the first car to receive the new AppLink service will be the 2011 Ford Fiesta.
