Attention farmers! Zynga has released the ability to expand your Horse Stable in FarmVille. Expanding your Horse Stable (obviously) allows it to hold more Horses, thus increasing your likelihood of finding an Arborist, Farmhand or 100 experience point bonus when collecting from it.
Unlike the Chicken Coop expansions, which required you to have ten different friends click on a news posting on your wall, this Horse Stable expansion is much more complex, although the process will be familiar to all those who take part.
By looking inside your Horse Stable, you’ll see a new “Expand” option, which, once clicked, will allow you to post a news item to your wall asking your friends for help in expanding your Stable. How do they do this? By sending you one of the original five ingredients you needed to build the Horse Stable in the first place.
To put it bluntly, expanding your Horse Stable is like building a Horse Stable from scratch, requiring 50 ingredients, 10 each of the five items we’ve collected previously: Nails, Wooden Boards, Bricks, Harnesses and Horseshoes.
Just as you can send these ingredients to friends from the free gifts page (remember, each user only has access to sending two of the five items), you can also click on the “Ask for More” button underneath each individual ingredient (see the screenshot above) to be sent to the modified gifts requests page that was first seen in the Botanical Garden community building project.
In this way, you’ll be able to ask those specific FarmVille neighbors that have access to the ingredient of your choosing, rather than choosing people at random, in the hopes that they have that ingredient available to send to you. In theory, this will make expanding your Horse Stable a quicker process, but that really all depends on the amount of active FarmVille neighbors you may be fortunate enough to have.
As this is a process that may take a lot of time, be sure to head over to the game’s page to get started right now – good luck in collecting another 50 ingredients!
