Xachi – The Cutest iPhone App Ever

Tue, Mar 9, 2010

iPhone, Mobile

The Xachi pet is a toy that is controlled by an iPhone app, and is also cute and furry, quite possibly making it the cutest iPhone app yet. The furry little toy has a tiny LED screen on his face and allows you to control it using the iPhone application. The concept is so brilliant and simple that it’s shocking no one has even attempted this before.

While not yet in production, the producers Taptic Toys claim it will be available later this year and cost around $40. Xachi will sport a speaker, accelerometer, and robot legs on top of the LED screen. Like the handheld pets of the past, Xachi will need to be maintained just like a pet with food, water, playtime and lots of love.

The interaction between the phone and Xachi is perhaps the best part about the device. Xachi will dance to your music library and play games like a bubble blasting game with you. Not only that, but he will also help kids learn through fun math and spelling games. The possibilities are endless as the app can receive updates to support more activities.
