Log into Happy Island and you’ll see an odd new addition to your resort, automatically placed there by developer CrowdStar. It’s a gray box, covered in locks, that has a small hole where two eyes peak out. It hops and shakes and begs to be clicked, so do so, won’t you?
Clicking on the box introduces you to the game’s newest feature, the Box of the Unknown. The Box of the Unknown can only be opened (for free) by getting six of your Happy Island playing neighbors to click on a news item that you’ll post to you feed asking them to do so.
Conversely, should you lack six Happy Island neighbors, or simply don’t want to wait for them to help you, you can hire a locksmith to open the box for 599 Facebook Credits. No, that’s not a typo – 599 Facebook Credits, or almost $60!
While we’ve been given a few days to get the box open, we are on a time limit, so make sure to head over to the game’s page sooner, rather than later, to see if you can unlock the Box of the Unknown.
