TriplePoint client The LEGO Group has announced its distribution partner for LEGO Universe: Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. Outside of LEGO Channels, Warner Bros. will be the exclusive retail distributor for the game, which will allow players to enter into an epic battle between creativity and chaos, centered around LEGO bricks, and made as a family-friendly experience.
WBIE has tremendous reach as one of the industry’s largest full-scale games publishers, which will enable LEGO Universe to access a broader audience of kids and families interested in online gaming,” said Henrik Taudorf Lorensen, Vice President, LEGO Digital, the LEGO Group, via a company press release. “We believe this partnership will be mutually beneficial for both companies, as well as end users, and are pleased to work with experts in the space on retail distribution for LEGO Universe.”
LEGO Universe is designed for players age 8 and up, and will be released sometime in the second half of 2010. We’ll be sure to bring you more information about the game as it becomes available.
