It’s been a while since we’ve seen new districts being made available in Social City, but now that drought has been crushed in a big way. In addition, we see the release of a Mickey Mouse statue that will look great as the centerpiece of your Disney theme park in the game.
Unlock New Districts – For a Price
If you’ve completely filled the four secondary districts that have been previously released in Social City, you’ll be happy to know that two more districts are now available for you to expand your city. The districts are the Northwest District and the North District, and luckily, either comes with any sort of stipulation for opening them, other than simply buying them outright. That is, you won’t have to gather votes, or login to the game a certain amount of days in a row to unlock them.
The Northwest District is available to purchase for 1 million coins. It is a 9×9 starter grid that we’re assuming can be expanded like all of the others.
The North District is an identical piece of 9×9 land, but it costs 2 million coins to purchase instead. In addition, you must be level 40 in order to unlock it.
With the addition of these two new districts, that leaves the game map with just two districts that have yet to be unlocked. We’ll be sure to let you know when those districts open up, so keep checking back with us for more!
Add Mickey Mouse to Your Town for Free!
Last week, we brought you the news of Disney’s mini-takeover of Social City, in the form of a premium raffle of sorts, that will see users able to build a Disney theme park in their cities via the use of some iconic attractions like the Matterhorn and It’s a Small World attraction.
This week, we see the finishing touch being added to the game, this time in the form of a free gift. While a small Mickey Mouse is technically available as part of the Walt Disney statue that you can win from the raffle, this new Mickey Mouse statue is all about the character himself.
The Mickey Mouse statue is available to send to your friends via the game’s free gifts page, or you can first receive the statue and then send one back to your friends from within the requests itself.
For a Disney fan, this is a great way to finish off this Disney-themed release in the game. If more Disney items are added in the future, we’ll be sure to let you know. In the meantime, head over to Social City on Facebook to unlock these new districts or to start sending Mickey Mouse statues to your friends.
