Zynga updated Treasure Isle over the weekend with quite a few noteworthy details. The first update sees the release of a new series of maps, while a second update sees new items added to the game’s store. Finally, we get a sneak peek at items coming soon to the game. Let’s get started with the details.
Enter into Monkey Business With New Maps
A third page of maps has been added to the Pirate Cove location in Treasure Isle’s World Map. The Monkey Business map set consists of seven different islands:
- Wild and Windy
- Monkey Raid
- Banana Cove – Unlocked for 18 Island Cash
- Buried Treasure – Unlocked for 7 Island Cash
- Good Vibes Jr. – Unlocked for 10 Island Cash
- Ship Graveyard – Unlocked at level 50
- Banana Split – Unlocked for 30,000 coins
New Items Now Available in the Game’s Store
There are some new items available to purchase in the game’s marketplace. In addition to new decorations like the Candle Bag, Television, Cannon and Cannonballs, you can head over to the Animals tab of the store (specifically the second page) and purchase the Tricky Shark.
Don’t be fooled by the name – while items like the Tiger Shark and Hammerhead are real sharks in the game, this is actually a Monkey with a fake fin attached to its back and a snorkel in its mouth, simply pretending to be a shark. If you want to add one to your Home Island, it will set you back 22 Island Cash, but you’ll earn 132 experience points as a bonus for purchasing it.
Pirate Isles III Coming Soon
Not content with the previously released Pirate-themed islands in the game, Zynga has announced that they are working on yet another set, presumably entitled Pirates III, as that’s what Zynga has been referring to them as on the game’s official fan page on Facebook.
What these islands will contain, and when they will launch are still a mystery, but if the frequency of past Pirate Isles releases tells us anything, it probably won’t be long before we’re able to travel there in the game.
We’ll be sure to let you know when these new maps hit the game, but for now, make sure to head over to the game’s page on Facebook to play through the Monkey Business maps or purchase any of these new decorations.
