Facebook, Social

If you find yourself tired of micromanaging your aquariums, restaurants, and farms, and even the thought of mafia supremacy is doing little for you, there’s a quickly growing Facebook game that might interest you.

Temple of Mahjong 2, brought over by the folks at Café.com, was #2 on last week’s AppData list of top emerging games on Facebook (those apps that are achieving said growth while not yet passing the 1 million user mark), and has earned it’s spot on that list for good reason.

Temple of Mahjong 2 offers the traditional, relaxing tile matching gameplay many gamers have been familiar with for years, as multiple versions are available on most every casual gaming website in existence, but the gameplay here adds in other elements due to its position on Facebook. These include sharing your top scores with friends and challenging others to play the game, along with giving each player an avatar and a level that will rise as you play the game.

According to Inside Social Games, there is only one basic tile layout so far, but the individual tiles are placed randomly within that template so as to create a new experience each time you play the game. If you’d like to give the game a shot for yourself, head over to its page on Facebook and jump in.
