There’s Just No Stopping Foursquare’s Growth

Location-Based, Mobile

Remember a few weeks ago when I told you Foursquare was growing rapidly? Well, not to boast but I couldn’t have been more correct. Not only that, but it has grown even faster than I expected. The service had just expanded to 600,000 users a few weeks ago and just yesterday reportedly now has 725,000 users.

Nope, that isn’t some kind of radical out-of-place zero or anything, the location-based service has grown by over 100,000 users in just two weeks which is insane growth. Not only has the user count been growing rapdily but the check-in count has gone up as well.

There have now been over 22 million check-ins by those 725,000+ users which is staggering considering the relatively small population when compared to other social services such as Twitter or Facebook. More expansion on the horizon? I’d bet on it, the service can only continue to pick up even more steam at this point.
