Are you a fan of the History Channel’s Ice Road Truckers? Then the network has a new Facebook game that’s perfect for you.
Aptly named, the Ice Road Truckers game is a simplistic trucking simulation that allows players to drive their rigs over icy terrain, using the arrow keys to steer and maneuver their way around obstacles like cracks in the road, polar bears, moose, and other trucks. Fuel and monetary bonuses are also scattered throughout the path, but a time limit on each journey will make earning every collectable a bit tricky.
If you can make it to the other side of the ice road without ruining your truck (bouncing into walls or other objects steadily damages it), you receive a sum of cash at the end relative to your truck’s current payload. You can use the cash to repair your rig, buy more fuel or even upgrade the truck itself to harness stronger engines, utilize better brakes, and increase your hauling capacity.
In keeping with other Facebook games, a player’s top times are added to the game’s leaderboards, and afterwards, they’ll have the opportunity to challenge their friends to see who the best trucker really is.
