Take a Look at Some Pongs in New Pong Indie Developer Challenge Videos

You remember the Pong Indie Developer Challenge, right? That’s the thing where TriplePoint client Atari tasked the world with the extremely simple task of reinventing video games at their most basic and time-honored level. Easy! That challenge is now in its semi-final round, with 20 studios remaining (from an original 87) and standing by their concepts to bring Pong to a new generation. This week, Atari shared a selection of delightful gameplay videos and trailers from the entrants, allowing the general ponging public a chance to see what’s in store. We’ve got those trailers for you, coming up later in this post.

The finalists are going to be chosen at the end of the month, on June 26th — which, not coincidentally, is Atari’s 40th anniversary. We really should get them something nice. The 40th anniversary is… the ruby anniversary? Wow. Uh, how do you think they’d feel about a gift card to Orange Julius?

Trailers ahoy!
