In the world of iPhone and iPad Game news, there’s always something popping up in the headlines whether it’s about a game releasing on another platform or a totally new game announcement. Today, we have the news from G5 Entertainment that their hit game Supermarket Management has hit the iPad in HD form and that Chillingo’s Angry Birds is headed straight for the Playstation Network platform.
Supermarket Management HD Stocks Itself onto the iPad App Store
When an iPhone game becomes a smash hit these days, there’s hardly any doubt that an iPad version is on the way. Supermarket Management is no exception as it hit the App Store today in grand fashion. While the gameplay has not changed much beyond the iPhone original, the iPad version has received a few upgrades that would make it worth playing on it.
From the press release:
The game follows Kate, a recent college grad, in her quest for career success. A great supermarket manager job has just fallen into her lap. However, if you can’t help Kate keep her customers happy by successfully juggling a variety of tasks, she’ll lose her new job as easily as she got it. Kate’s tasks range from keeping shelves stocked to hiring and supervising new employees. Players can also purchase a wide variety of upgrades to make the store run even more smoothly. As Kate’s responsibilities move from basic tasks to more managerial duties, the game becomes more complex.
If you enjoy time management games as much as I do, you’ll surely enjoy Supermarket Management HD on iPad. Be sure to download it from the iPad App Store if you are interested.
Angry Birds Coming to PSN
Chillingo today announced that Angy Birds is coming this fall to the PlayStation Network as a PlayStation minis title. Not much else is known about this version except that it will likely be playable on both the PSP and PS3 when it launches.
“Angry Birds’ addictive gameplay, amusing antics and phenomenal record-breaking popularity will bring an unparalleled experience as a minis title,” explains Johnny Coghlan, Head of Publishing, Chillingo. “The game’s mass consumer appeal will surely entertain fans of all ages for hours.”
Android and WebOS versions of Angry Birds are also slated as coming soon.
