Last week, the team behind the iPhone title Cobra Command announced Super Frog, a game that has made its way to the App Store’s submission process for release on the iPhone, and will later come to the iPad in an optimized version.
According to Slide to Play, Super Frog contains over 50 levels (along with online leaderboards) that follow the game’s title character on his quest to reverse the atrocities committed by his former colleague. Both were scientists conducting radiation experiments on animals until the experiment backfired, giving our hero the physical characteristics of a frog, and his partner, the “greed and appetite” of a fly.
It’s no wonder then, that the game’s developers, Revolutionary Concepts, have listed the Fly and the Incredibles among the game’s inspirations; furthermore, the game apparently makes a nod at Frogger as well.
There have been no official release date or price set for the app as of yet, but when we know, you’ll know.
