Going to school and need some extra cash? Headed into the game industry when you graduate? Apply now for the Official Penny Arcade Scholarship and you could get $10,000 to use on rent, food, books, tuition, you name it. The scholarship is good for the 2010-2011 academic school year and the winner will be announced in September of 2010.
Applicants can be majoring in any field but must have attended or be attending an accredited College or University in the US during the 2009-2010 academic school year. You must have a GPA of 3.3 or higher on a 4.0 scale to qualify, and you must have the intention of going into the game industry when you get out of school. To apply you will have to send the following:
- Official application
- Two page letter written by you including information about your studies, how you will benefit the industry, and your financial needs
- Two current signed letters of recommendation
- Recent official college/university transcript
- Photograph
