iPad, iPhone, Mobile

Square Enix’s tower defense game Crystal Defenders has had a face lift. The graphics have been completely overhauled for 1024×768 resolution so you can now enjoy the game in its latest, greatest, and most pretty form on your fancy new iPad for $7.99.

Although tower defense gurus will tell you that there are certainly more games available in the genre, there aren’t any others that can give you tower defense gameplay with the savor of Final Fantasy. Crystal Defenders allows you to deploy units like Black Mages and Soldiers to defend your precious crystals from encroaching waves of enemies. The game includes three different game modes, titled W1, W2, and W3, touch controls, and customizable music.

You can try the Lite version of Crystal Defenders for free on your iPhone or iPad before shelling out the full $7.99. You can purchase Crystal Defenders at the App Store here.
