SpongeBob’s Last Stand Online Game Celebrates Earth Day

Tue, Apr 20, 2010

Earth Day is April 22, and in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the event, Nickelodeon will be transforming their “SpongeBob’s Last Stand Online Game” into a multi-platform event across both the television and online game spaces.

As we get closer to Earth Day, the game’s normally subdued jellyfish will become “angry marauders,” and the normally beautiful environment will become a vast wasteland. Once SpongeBob’s Earth Day special airs on Nickelodeon, viewers will be able to receive a special code on TV that can be used back online within the game to return Bikini Bottom to its former glory.

To keep track of the event’s progress, head over to the game’s page on Nickelodeon’s website.
