SPIN magazine seems to be having some fun with attendees of SXSW this week. The magazine is handing out custom foursquare badges that allow people to link them up with certain venues around downtown Austin, TX. At each venue with the custom badges, the players will each have their own unique presence to the event.

The custom badges themselves must be acquires by going to certain events and concerts at SXSW. The SPINsider badge requires players to see three bands that the SPIN staff recommends, the Trailblazer badge requires players to see three shows not in the downtown Austin area, the Animal Collector requires players to see three bands with animals in their name and the Bands on the Run challenge seeks that players see seven bands in a single day.

The award for completing all of the challenges, you ask? Two free tickets to SPIN’s SPIN@STUBB’s which is an event that showcases up-and-coming bands and more recognizable bands alike. Only the first ten people to complete the challenge are eligible though.
