Man, I remember when Sonic the Hedgehog first showed up, and he was a game character with attitude. Now he’s gone soft, and is totally PC about everything he does — so worried about offending everyone, so careful with his words. That’s the headline this morning from SEGA, Sonic’s handlers and culturally sensitive TriplePoint clients: “Sonic the Hedgehog PC Digital Download Extravaganza.” I like a download extravaganza as much as the next guy, but I don’t see why we have to — oh, hang on, I see what they meant now.
I probably should have read this part:
… the much-anticipated Sonic the Hedgehog™ 4 Episode I will be available, enabling PC owners to enjoy the beautifully rendered HD environments of the special stages and a variety of different Zones, all inspired by the Genesis era. The Sonic 4 saga will continue to grow in 2012 with the new side-scrolling adventure Sonic the Hedgehog™ 4 Episode II, releasing later this year for PC digital download.
I was confused, especially when someone mentioned that Sonic was getting Progressive.
