Facebook, Location-Based, Social, Twitter

Infographics: the web’s unique way of defining  our tech-heavy times, destroying our productivity levels, and giving us the giggles. Flowtown has a fun new highschool-themed shakedown of today’s social media giants. Where do you fit into the 2011 yearbook?

Do note the omission of any gaming networks (i.e. Apple’s Game Center, OpenFeint or Xbox LIVE), while location-based Foursquare makes the cut… Do you think the social class of 2015 will look the same, or will they see this as a hilarious internet relic? Some of these social sites are obviously set for successful longevity (ahem, Facebook & Twitter), but I expect game-based networks will become more and more prevalent in the mainstream future.

    Hi Kate,

Thanks for sharing the graphic. What about the game based networks that sit on top of these existing networks ;) agreed re: Xbox live.
