Apple’s exciting new device claims it will be able to handle nearly all of the iPhone’s existing apps, but what about some of the out-of-device features of those apps? One would think that, so long as the iPad is an internet-connected appliance (hint: it is), that any online features in our games and apps would stay consistent. Well, you may rest assured that many of them will: FingerGaming reports that social game networks Scoreloop, OpenFeint, and newcomer Crystal all have their eyes on iPad support and development.

According to FingerGaming, in fact, Scoreloop is already working on an iPad version of Astro Ranch, one of their supported titles. Entitled Astro Ranch HD, it is likely to be the first of many, many more social games to appear on the new device.
