iPhone, Mobile

With so many games being released on the iTunes app store, it’s sometimes hard to keep up with which ones you should or shouldn’t be playing on your iPhone. Thankfully, we have the review round-up to show you the best games available on the app store, complete with summaries and reviews from all around the web.

So Long, Oregon!

The developer of the infamous Enviro-Bear 2010 is back with So Long, Oregon on the iPhone. While not the most amazing game ever  created, So Long, Oregon! certainly takes the cake in the unique department with its premise and wacky Oregon Trail-esque graphics. In the game, it’s up to you to find the lost city of El Dorado by keeping members of your wagon train alive. To do this, you need to make sure you have enough food.

In Slidetoplay‘s review of the game, they said that it was definitely unique, but criticized the graphics, the non-ability to name party members and that the controls were nothing short of frustrating as you violently shake your iPhone around in madness.

Rating: 3 out of 4.

Price: $1.99.

Ninjump has you controlling a flying ninja, much like Ninjatown: Trees of Doom in which the goal is to get to the top of the ever-scrolling screen avoiding all of the multiple obstacles that are constantly in your way. However, unlike Ninjatown, powerups must be earned in Ninjump in that you have to kill enemies in your path (such as a fox, bird or ninja) multiple times in a row.

In their review for the game, TheAppEra said the game is exciting and full of surprises. “I thought I wasn’t going to like this game but lo and behold, I’m addicted.”

Price: Free (w/ ads, 99¢ w/out).
