Six Flags has partnered with the location-based application, Foursquare, in a mutually beneficial advertising deal. The partnership will be in place until September 7th, and will allow Foursquare users to check in at Six Flags parks around the United States.
Checking in will earn players special badges, which will then enable players to receive prizes, including grand prizes. Special rewards will be available for folks who check in 10 times in the interim, and the users who are the mayors of each park on September 7th will receive season’s passes to Six Flags. “Foursquare presents another unique way for Six Flags to engage our fans while creating a virtual loyalty program,” says Six Flags Director of Direct and Digital Marketing, Jackie Gagne. Foursquare continues to grow and there’s little doubt that Six Flags is only the first of many companies who will partner with the application in advertising campaigns.
