iPhone, Mobile

With so many games being released on the iTunes app store, it’s sometimes hard to keep up with which ones you should or shouldn’t be playing on your iPhone. Thankfully, we have the review round-up to show you the best games available on the app store, complete with summaries and reviews from all around the web.

Shark or Die

In this quirky “Play as the bad guy” game, you play as a hungry shark who must chomp on ocean swimmers and catch them before they manage to get away or alert others. Being as stealthy as possible is absolute key to catching all of the available swimmers. Easy enough to control, Shark or Die uses simple touch controls to guide the shark across the dangerous waters.

In Slidetoplay‘s review, they said “there isn’t a reason not to check out Shark or Die” especially considering it’s free. Considering that, “Even without buying the upgrades, it has lasting power and just the right amount of depth to keep things interesting.”

Rating: 3 out of 4.

Gravity Block

In this puzzle/maze game, it’s up to you to control a block around a twisted board using only gravity. Sporting a retro-esque look, the game tends to take a simplistic approach to everything. To control the block, all you have to do is simply tap where you’d like the gravity to shift.

In their review of the game, TheAppEra said it was “a new concept game for the iPhone, but surprisingly, one that works amazingly well” and that they “highly recommend this game to everyone, but particularly puzzle fans. This will suit their taste perfectly.”

Price: 99¢.
