Facebook, iPad, iPhone, Mobile

Social game developer SGN has brought their hit Facebook game Bingo Blingo to iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. According to AppData, the game is one of the fastest-growing titles on Facebook, and now the addictive online bingo experience comes to the mobile platform.

While I played the game and watched my Bingo board fill up as the announcer called out the numbers, I grew happily anxious and absorbed by the gameplay. By my fourth round, I was pleading with the game to give me the right numbers to complete my Bingo board:

Please give me B-17, please give me B-17.

That’s not B-17. That’s B-14. I don’t have B-14. Why didn’t you give me B-17? The round ended and I scored nary a single bingo.

Of course, in the next round I rapidly scored a bingo and moved into fourth place and all was right with the world.

Bingo Blingo’s twist is the power-ups that give players an edge in filling out their boards. One power-up randomly fills up spots on the board, useful for having a chance to complete an elusive bingo. Another throws a tornado over the board and mixes up your numbers if you feel like you need to change things up to better your chances of winning. You discover more power-ups as you progress in level, and each one provides a unique advantage.

Bingo Blingo stimulates my competitive side without making me work for it. It’s a casual pick-up-and-play social game that keeps you coming back for more. The more you play, the more you level up, receiving access to power-ups, achievements and bonus rounds. The game features nine unique poker rooms and an integrated store where players can purchase more coins and power-up tickets and trophies. Wrap it all up with Facebook Connect and you’ve got an excellent social game for passing the time.

Head on over to the App Store to pick up Blingo Bingo today, or try your luck on Facebook.
