Although the complete terms of the deal have yet to be made public, the creators behind the appropriately titled Second Life, Linden Lab, has announced that it has acquired Swedish-based Enemy Unknown, the company behind the community site Avatars United.
As reported by DMW, Linden Lab has said that the deal will “help enable those of its users who wish to share more of their offline identities with their virtual world friends.”
Taking the Avatars United skill set into account, this will likely entail allowing Second Life users to create an activity feed which they can share with friends, among other things.
