Facebook, Social

Developer Left Brain Games has introduced a new title to Facebook, a university-builder called University of You. The game is located loosely in the city-builder genre, the objective being to construct and run your own university.

The Campus Builder mode, one of the first things you will encounter in the game, places you in a flat overhead view of your property. You will then be able to purchase new schools, scenery, and landscaping and apply your new assets however you like. When building, keep in mind that for a school to be successful you will need to have parking lots and dorms in addition to the schools themselves.

The most intriguing part of U of You, however, is that you can fill your university with your own Facebook friends. You get to pick and choose who goes to your schools, what classes they take, and what jobs they work. Ever thought your friend should have gone to law school? Now’s your chance, without those pesky student loans. You can also post your enrolled friends’ in-game transcripts, including any classes they have failed (which happens when you wait too long to check on them). And if you don’t have enough friends on Facebook to fill your halls to your satisfaction, not to worry; virtual students are available as well.

Sound interesting? You can give University of You a whirl here.
