Casual, Console

Yesterday, Sabarasa announced the release date for their upcoming puzzle game on DSiWare, Save the Turtles.

The game, which will be available to download for 500 points starting March 29, sees players helping the endangered species of sea turtles as they break loose from their eggs on the sand and make a run towards the ocean.

Gameplay sees you helping the turtles break out of their eggs by tapping on them and aiming to create lines of like-colored turtles that will trigger an ocean wave to cover the beach, sweeping the ready turtles out to sea. The game contains 32 levels, and four gameplay modes, including an eternal mode that will really test your skills over the long haul.

Save the Turtles is the first of many upcoming titles from Sabarasa. Primrose and Alt-Play: Jason Rohrer Anthology will both be coming to DSiWare, while two WiiWare titles, Protocol, and Horizon (a balance board powered shooter) are also in the works.

Here’s a video for Save the Turtles, in order to show you what to expect in the game when it launches later this month.
