Russia Enters Golden Age

Casual, Frisky Misc, MMOG

Technically, Russia is just gaining access for its gamers to play Golden Age, a browser-based MMO developed by Giant and published by TriplePoint client Syncopate. But, that’s still kind of like a glorious, unprecedented stage of advancement for the country’s art, culture, and technology, right? That’s a completely fair comparison.

Stop looking at me like that and read from the press release:

An empire-building strategy game with RPG elements, Golden Age will be the first cross-platform Syncopate title, playable either in a web browser or on an iOS device. Russian audiences will be able to accessGolden Age through GameNet, Syncopate’s social network and distribution platform for gamers, and in the Russian App Store, in early 2012.

That’s an accomplishment on par with, at least, the Golden Age of Comics, right?
