The game is a shooter (archer?), complete with 12 levels that sees players taking on the roll of Robin Hood, who is accompanied by other free archers, as they travel throughout Europe (including Sherwood Forest, of course), defeating enemies all in the name of justice after Robin Hood’s home was burned and destroyed by pillagers.
As Richard, the true king of England, is MIA, it’s up to you to help stop evil characters like the Sheriff of Nottingham through boss-battles.
“Robin Hood is such an iconic character, and we are excited to bring such a revered character to life on the iPhone and iPod Touch,” said Victoria Trofimova, Director at Nordcurrent, via a company press release. “There are thousands of games to choose from these days, but with such a recognizable and compelling story and easy-to-learn playability, this game is a natural for iPhone and iPod Touch players.”
Robin Hood: The Return of Richard will be available on iTunes March 25th at a price of $2.99.
