iPhone, Mobile

Ragdoll Blaster 2, from Backflip Studios, launched on the iPhone App Store earlier this month, allowing users to jump back into the ragdoll physics gameplay they loved from the first installment, but with a few twists.

Slide to Play recently took a look at Ragdoll Blaster 2, with its 150+ levels of item-launching mayhem, all wrapped in a new steampunk coating. The game challenges you to launch a ragdoll from a cannon into a target on the other side of the environment, but it isn’t as simple as just aiming, as puzzles must be solved to move the target into a reachable position, obstacles must be navigated and so on.

The sequel adds a laser pointer to your shots (achieved via touch controls), allowing you to pick a more precise trajectory, while new enhancements placed around or on the cannon itself (in certain levels), like ice, portals, gravity swtiches, etc. add some challenge. The game also contains online leaderboards, mostly based on how many ragdolls it took you to pass a certain level or set of levels.

Be sure to check out the gameplay video below, if you’d like to get a better feel for how the game works. Then, to pick up a copy of Ragdoll Blaster 2 for yourself, take your $2.99 over to iTunes. Ragdoll Blaster 2
