SweetLabs, a TriplePoint client and official arch-enemy of all your free time, have unleashed the winners of the Pokki 1UP Game Developer Contest, and would like you to play them for the next several thousand hours. SweetLabs, you see, are creators of Pokki, a handy little system that lets developers build their games and applications into standalone desktop apps, so that users don’t have to use a browser to get at their stuff. Those developers, in turn, are the creators behind the contest’s winning entries, which consisted of 60 new HTML5 games over the course of 60 days.
As per the press release, the winners are:
- 1st Place: 4 Horsemen by Nicklaus Liow – $30,000 and a trip to GDC
- 2nd Place: Tupsu by Evgeni Gordejev – $13,000
- 3rd Place: Onslaught! Arena by Matt Hackett – $7,000
Incidentally, you can play those three games, plus a pantload more, right here. I’ll check back on you tomorrow to see if you need some water or something.
