Pocket God fans rejoice – Bolt Creative just announced that comic lovers and fans of the hit iPhone game (and TriplePoint client) will be able to get their hands on issue #1 of the brand-spanking-new Pocket God comic book come August 3, 2010.
Hot off the heels of Comic-Con, this new endeavor for the popular franchise will be available first in a digital version through iVerse Media (a digital distribution partner of Ape Entertainment), with a print version to be made available in late summer. The first issue of Pocket God will be one of four in a full color mini-series based on the best-selling iPhone app.
Created by developer Dave Castelnuovo and graphic artist Allen Dye, Pocket God has already sold 2+million copies since its release in January 2009, making it one of the most successful titles on the App Store to date. The app throws players into the role of a deity who commands an island full of helpless, god-fearing inhabitants that unquestionably bend to the user’s whim.
