Yep, you read that headline right – Playfish has updated Country Story this week with the addition of new Collection Quests, offering new prizes and incentives to complete them. For those unfamiliar with the term, Collection Quests are those pop-ups that appear as you play the game, asking you to plant and harvest a certain number of particular crops, or collect a certain number of items from your animals.

While the Sheep-based Collection Quests (the “Full Time Farmer” quests) have been available for some time now (those crop collection quests that reward clever sheep statues when completed), there are now Dog-based Collection Quests to make your way through as well.

The quest line is called “Puppy Give-Away,” and, as you might have guessed, you’ll receive cute dog statues when you complete each step. Also, just as with the “Full Time Farmer” sheep quests, these Puppy Give-Away quests will become progressively harder, requiring more time and items to complete.

What makes this quest set entirely different from the Full Time Farmer set is that you’re collecting fruits from the game’s four new trees, rather than planting and harvesting crops. As you can see from the screen above, the first level of the quest requires you to collect just 9 fruits – three each of Lychee, Pomegranates and Plums. The final new tree type is the Peach Tree, and you can see the prices for the four trees in the screenshot below.
