So, there’s a new game coming out — I think. I’d love to tell you more about it, and whether it’s actually a game and not just some sort of environmental hazard, but TriplePoint client PlayFirst is being very coy about the entire ordeal. This morning, they announced that they were “building interest for [their] newest game” (so I think we’ve worked out that part), and that it would involve a “dramatic community of meat-eating fish.” Further details are coming to a site they’ve opened called “What’s in the Water,” and so far, this is what’s in the water:
Unless I’m mistaken, that is a large crate full of sandwiches. BLTs, I think, or possibly ham & cheese. Ham & cheese with bacon and “the fixin’s.” I don’t know what this portends for the future of gaming, unless there is a quest to save future sandwiches from becoming soggy and terrible, but I do know that if you have some better idea, that you could win a trip to Hawaii. The site’s posts, if you share them far and wide, can count as contest entries for a mess of prizes, including “a trip to Hawaii and a submarine adventure.” Presumably, a submarine adventure where you can go down and look at all of those sandwiches.
We’ll keep you posted on what is in the water, and when, and hopefully why.
