Everybody loves to eat, and everybody loves a good success story, so it seemed fitting that Android users should be included in the audience for the mega-hit game Diner Dash from PlayFirst (a TriplePoint client). That happened last month, though, which makes the latest news seem a bit out of order: Cooking Dash has made its way to Google Play as of today, which is great, but generally the cooking part happens before the serving part. In some restaurants, anyway. I don’t know, maybe Flo is running some kind of Benihana operation where you order food and then they prepare it right at the table. That would work, right? I mean, if there were some evidence that she ran a place with an open kitchen setup, where diners sat in front of the grill and the cooking and serving happened more or less at the same time –
Well, there you go. From the press release:
Cooking Dash arrives hot on the heels of PlayFirst’s Google Play debut last month, continuing the developer’s expansion into the worldwide Android™ ecosystem. Since the May 20th launch of Diner Dash® on Google Play, the game has racked up more than 1 million downloads and climbed the New Paid and New Free charts, landing in the top three for the New Paid and top 10 for the New Free for close to two straight weeks.
Offering a new spin on PlayFirst’s groundbreaking time-management gameplay, Cooking Dash follows hardworking entrepreneur Flo as she expands her duties beyond waitressing and into the kitchen, cooking meals for her customers. With strategy and speed, taps and slides, the game challenges players to prepare a variety of delicious and exotic cuisines and serve them to the eager residents of DinerTown.
The game is free, so you may as well see what’s cookin’.
