Playdom just snagged a nifty new CFO. Financial analyst Christa Quarles is joining the social gaming team, hot off her role as managing director of internet services at Thomas Weisel Partners. There, Quarles covered companies like Google and Yahoo in her tenure with the investment bank’s research arm.
Now the rumor mill is churning that Playdom is getting ready to go public – not only because of the new executive addition, but also after the company’s recent influx of $43 million in funding, and aquisition of 2 social game developers last month (Green Patch and Trippert Labs).
