ZEN Studios are responsible for Zen Pinball, also available on the PS3, and for Pinball FX on the Xbox 360. The company has taken the same ball physics that have earned it praise in these games and applied it to Planet Minigolf.
Planet MiniGolf contains over 140 different holes spread across multiple courses in single-player, and also contains a multiplayer element in the form of Worldwide tournaments that see you either competing against friends, or strangers from all over the world.
After you’re done playing a few rounds, you can go into the Course Editor mode and create and design your own golf courses. Afterward, you can upload them to allow other users to share in your masterpiece.
“We are extremely pleased with how Planet MiniGolf turned out. We have a title that offers everything gamers want – fine-tuned game mechanics, beautiful graphics, social connectivity and serious competition,” said Zsolt Kigyossy, managing director of ZEN Studios, via a company press release. “Planet MiniGolf really represents what we pride ourselves in doing here at ZEN – building quality products and supporting them with a constant stream of DLC far after initial release. With that, keep your eyes out for new courses in the near future, as well as some revolutionary new support features (hint hint)!”
Planet MiniGolf is now available on the PlayStation Network for $9.99.
