iPhone, Mobile

Yesterday, independent developer Phantoom Entertainment announced the launch of their new iPhone game entitled simply “Bloomies.” Bloomies is a time management game with simplistic controls, that users of all experience levels should, in theory, be able to quickly pick up and enjoy.

To put it simply, Bloomies tasks you with growing flowers with the help of bees to create a beautiful garden. You’ll start with a simple grassy hillside and must plant a variety of flowers, or Bloomies, and water them. The local population of bumble bees help gather nectar and add to your overall gold count, while growing a successful garden unlocks more flowers and a variety of new bees.

As you go along, you’ll be able to add various decorations to the landscape, creating an even more customized and colorful garden, and you’ll also unlock achievements via the game’s OpenFeint integration. OpenFeint integration also provides for the ability to share your progress with friends via Twitter and Facebook.

“With Bloomies, we set out to create a visually stunning gardening game that anyone could enjoy,” said Phantoom co-founder, Andreas Wolff, via a company press release. “Though it starts off unassumingly, players will soon be happily tending their garden every day, unlocking new items and arranging plant life to their liking. It’s a great way to relax and everyone from kids to the older casual player are going to love it.”

Bloomies is now available on iTunes for $0.99. Head over to iTunes if you’re interested in playing the game. Bloomies
