PetVille Neighbor Bonuses Are Now Entirely Voluntary

PetVille, Social

The next time you visit your friends’ homes in PetVille, you won’t see the traditional personality comparison followed by the awarding of Coins and Love; instead, you’ll see nothing at all. Nothing, that is, except for a new button placed along the left-hand side of the screen, underneath the area where you’re able to look at your neighbors’ completed challenges and the like. You’ll see the new button like in the screenshot below – the small set of sunglasses that say “Personality” when hovered on.

Click on this button and you’ll be shown the previous personality comparison (comparing your pet’s personality with that of the pet you’re visiting) and will be given the Coin and Love bonus that you would normally be given automatically.

This seems like an understandable change, simply when looking at subsequent visits you might  make to a friends’ house in a single day, which normally require more energy from you, but offer very little return. That is, you’ll now save the energy that you would have “wasted” otherwise, but will just have to spend a few extra seconds clicking a button when visiting the first time everyday.

What do you think of this change? Did you like the setup the way it was, even if it meant you wasted a few energy when visiting your friends more than one time in a day? Or do you like this new, energy saving setup?

Clicking on the sunglasses wastes time. The old way was fine.
