FarmVille, Social

So you finally hauled your virtual holiday tree to the curb (WTG you!) and here we are mid-January on the Facebook fields of FarmVille… Just recovering from the gift-giving mayhem that was FarmVille’s holiday celebration – it started early, gifted big, and ended late, extending well into 2010.

Whether you’re glad all that increased neighborly interaction has died down, or you’re privately mourning it’s end, FarmVille players should look forward to a new year of agricultural gifts, games and goodies – it’s time to sow some new seeds, meet some new neighbors, have some new laughs, and try some new things.

The FarmVille free gifts section is bursting with new items to indulge your Facebook friends. For starters, here are some gifts that keep on growing and growing and growing… Three new trees – Cashew Tree, Durian Tree and Starfruit Tree.

Or you can cut to the (paper) chase and simply send a Large Woodpile. There’s even another new gift that grows on and on (Tall Grass) and a new cow-printed Milk Jug (that’s cute, but useless besides decoration).

And finally, we’ve seen a few different options in the FarmVille free gifts collection today, but can confirm at least three special new items (Peace Flag, Dragonfly and Needlework) that we’ll discuss further in a full FarmVille update post soon.
