Have you heard the news? The old Paperboy is coming back to our route, to deliver papers to subscribers and smash everyone else’s windows! Elite Systems, who recently published a 3D re-imagining of the coin-op title, has announced that they will be releasing “Paperboy Classic” on the App Store tomorrow. “Classic” promises to be “an almost 100% faithful recreation of the multi-million selling original,” sticking to the 2.5D view, albeit with a few graphical improvements and new game modes.
It’s nice that the old Paperboy is still working, but it’s also kind of sad. Guy’s got to be almost 40 years old by now.
